On sunday we had 3 guest stars in the studio: Kride (DSF), Micko Hell (MDB) and Oku (Murdershock). Few were left out due to unfit schedules, but the outcome is again great!
Now all that is left to do is the mixing and the mastering of the EP... In the meanwhile we'll start to work on the cover artwork with the band.
Stay tuned, stay heavy!

Brutalizing & Hellbilly-Bob Banjos

Today we recorded rest of the vocals - this time think we got the next level of brutal groovy death metal growling. I am very happy with the outcome... The bloody feces and vomit might prove me right. We found the essence good death metal vocals!
We also went ahead and recorded some additional lead guitars. Best of all... We recorded some banjo tracks! Meanest death metal banjo shreds on the planet!
Tomorrow Ghoul Patrol's death metal choir is going to take over. The choir includes: Micko Hell (Micko Hell & The Motherfuckers, Million Dollar Beggars), Oku (Murdershock), Kride & Galzi (Dead Shape Figure) and Jonas (Vanity Beach).

Lead guitars & vocals
Today... Now it's actually yesterday... Well, anyway: Albert recorded the last lead guitars. They come out really great!
After that we started to record the vocals. After few hours we had the tracks for Ghoulmate and Hellfire Blues finished. Outcome: Brutal!
In about 13 hours from now we'll start to record vocals for Crowning The Age Of Apathy...

Bass & Keys
All bass and keyboard tracks were recorded yesterday along with some guitar leads and solos. They came out great bringing some more balls to the mix in a 'ghoulish' manner with a few things you possibly wouldn't expext to hear from Ghoul Patrol =) After this, there are all the voc's and a few guitar tracks to record during the next couple of days before starting the overall mixing process.

Guitars
Yesterday I played my first guitar tracks to all 4 songs. It took few hours to achieve the sound and I think we found one. Today's Albert's turn and maybe my second tracks.
Hojo hojo & rock'n'roll mojo!

Drums
Allright.. We started to record the drums yesterday and things went pretty nicely. I got some help from Rainer "Raikku" Tuomikanto with the tuning of the drums and we were ready to start. First song allways takes the longest, but I got it together quite smoothly. After that things started rolling really well and I actually recorded everything for the EP. So the second day we'll use for some extra drum tracks, just to see how different beats work with different parts and then we'll start doing the guitar tracks.
Like last time some video footage was shot, so sometime LATER you can check out some clips at www.youtube.com/GhoulPete
